Submission Guidelines

If there are any questions, refer to the Grading Policy on the manual.
Note: There is no extra credit for early commissioning, only for early submission.

Student Requirements

  • Print out the Submission Form
  • The submission folder must be a two pocket folder
    • Put team member names, project and section
  • Hard Copy and CD/USB/DVD
    • Must include all items listed on submission form (except benchmark and commission forms)
  • You must submit EVERYTHING
    • Submit what you have (even incomplete folders)
    • You will get a zero for your SLDP grade if you do not submit a folder
  • When you are in line for submission
    • You must let the TA know you are there to submit
    • You must have your completed folder in hand

Submission

  • Note: The deliverables received early are the ones you will use in your presentation. No adjustments to the deliverables submitted will be accepted.
  • All Benchmarks and commissioning forms must be completed
    • TAs, check the forms online

All items listed below are required

If one of the tasks are not completed, tell the student immediately.
Do not accept incomplete folders for early submission only

Managerial Section

  • Title page and Table of contents
  • MS Project
    • MPP file only
    • minimum of 20 tasks
    • milestones
    • responsible person for tasks shown
    • progress line shown
  • Cost Estimate
    • XLSX file only
    • must include labor cost breakdown with hours and rates
    • no decimal points, rounded appropriately
    • total cost present in the bottom right corner
  • Resume
    • Must be actual resume (not fictional)
  • Final Presentation

Technical Section

  • RTGS (You must submit a sample of the following even though you use a different software)
    • Video
    • Truth tables
    • K-maps
    • Simplified Boolean equations
    • LabVIEW VI
      • No screenshots
    • If a different program is used
      • Include it in the submission. (e.g., C++ code)
      • Video is not required
  • SLS
    • LabVIEW
    • Initial Sketches
    • CAD Drawings
    • Model (Physical or 3D)
  • Robots
    • Mindstorms / Program(s)
    • Initial Sketches
    • CAD Drawings
    • Video

TAs

  • AFTER you have checked everything, put the time the student got in line to submit the folder while having all deliverables
  • Indicate if it is regular or early submission
