Completing the online training portion of the NYU Tandon MakerSpace "Safety Orientation" training is a required pre-lab activity for lab 4. Completing the NYU Tandon MakerSpace Safety Orientation is a required pre-lab activity for Lab 5: Model Shop 2. This requires watching two short videos and then signing up for and completing the in-person portion of the training. You must be logged in with your netID to access these videos and so that your quiz answers can be verified. Be sure to click the blue button at the end of the Orientation and Ultimaker videos to submit your quiz answers.

You can earn extra credit by completing the in-person portion of the Ultimaker training, which allows you to then reserve and print on the MakerSpace Ultimakers as you would like. More information on the MakerSpace training and reservations can be found here http://makerspace.engineering.nyu.edu/training-and-reservations/.  
Once you’ve watched the videos, sign up for an in-person training session. Please refer to [https://eg.poly.edu/syllabus.php the schedule] for your section for due dates. Failure to complete MakerSpace training will result in a penalty on your SLDP grade.
 
There is also a remote option for extra credit - attending one of the MakerSpace and/or EG workshops, or watching additional machine training videos on the MakerSpace Stream channel.
